History Of The Zoo

 Over the next few years or so the fishing will have an air of excitement and uncertainty to it, because the exact stock is unknown. When we purchased the lake back in 2014 the previous owner assured me 100 fish over 20 kg inhabit the water. During the first two summers of fishing we've seen certain fish only once on the bank, this is due to a number of reasons, first its a very rich lake, its a good size in 45 acres, and it has so many features for the fish to hide away in making it exciting combined with an air of uncertainty.

This venue will never be a runs water, personally I have no interest in overstocked artificial small lakes. But here at The Zoo with a stock of around 500 carp I believe this enables the fishing to be challenging and rewarding at the same time. Over the past two summers some fish have showed incredible growth rates, from mid 20's to over 40 lb in less than 8 months. The carp that have been added to the lake are all hand selected and are some of the finest available in france.
